How You Can Help Us

If you would like to make a donation to Tunbridge Wells Sands, your gift will be very gratefully received. Please forward your donation to the Fundraising Coordinator. The address is given on the Contacts page. If you would like your donation to be used for a specific project, please let us know and we will earmark your money accordingly.

If you are interested in organising a fundraising event, we are always happy to help in any way we can. We can provide publicity and manpower, as well as Sands stickers and leaflets. Again, please contact the Fundraising Coordinator on the Contacts page of this website, or consider coming along to a business meeting to discuss your idea. You would be most welcome!

Our business meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every odd month. This means that, for 2017/2018, business meetings will be held on the following dates:

Tuesday, 14th November 2017 (AGM and business meeting)
Tuesday, 9th January 2018
Tuesday, 13th March 2018
Tuesday, 8th May 2018
Tuesday, 10th July 2018
Tuesday, 11th September 2018
Tuesday, 13th November 2018 (AGM and business meeting)

Our meetings are held at Pembury Village Hall and begin at 8pm. We aim to conclude the meetings by 10pm. We welcome anyone interested in helping to run our Group.

If you are a bereaved parent yourself and you would like to help support others in the same tragic situation, you might be interested in becoming a support group facilitator or befriender. We believe that it is better if at least a year has passed since your bereavement before you take on this demanding role. Facilitators and befrienders are offered training by National Sands. If you would like to learn more these roles, please contact the Support Coordinator. Contact details are on the Contacts page of this website.

Knitting Patterns

We provide Memory Boxes to Tunbridge Wells Hospital, which help families to create memories with their little one in the short time that they have to spend together. The large boxes include a hand knitted blanket and the mini boxes, which are for earlier losses, include a mini blanket and an Angel Pocket. These are all knitted locally, but we are in desperate need of more.
